 Murtha, can you hear me now?
Rep. John Murtha is a fraud. He claims to be a 'friend' of the
military, yet time after time he has refused to listen to America's
Iraq War veterans – the very ones he claims to speak for:
"The soldiers can't speak for themselves. We sent them to war and,
by God, we're the ones that have to speak out." -- Rep. John
Murtha, ABC News, Nov. 21, 2005
Iraq War veteran Craig Minnick can speak for
himself -- but Murtha refuses to listen to him – even though Minnick
is a resident of Murtha's own hometown – Johnstown, PA:
"I have called time and time again to Congressman Murtha's office
and they have refused to listen to me, even though I am one of Rep.
Murtha's constituents," said Minnick.
An isolated case? Far from it. Like Minnick, Iraq War veteran (and PA
resident) Mark Russak has also been stonewalled by Murtha. Here is
part of Russak's e-mail to Vets for the Truth / Boot Murtha:
My name is SGT Mark Russak. My home unit is HHC 1ST/110TH Infantry,
Pa. Army National Guard. I was attached to Bravo Company 1st/125th
Infantry for "Task Force Panther" on deployment to Iraq (Jan. 05 to
Jun. 06) as the Senior Combat Medic.
We lost 7 very brave men in our Company. I returned home from the
Al Anbar Province of Iraq on June 19, 2006.
I have written two letters about John Murtha (both published in
several newspapers) and sent to his office in Johnstown, Pa. I even
visited his office while on R&R Leave in January 06 to ask him to stop
the lies about our mission but his Aid said he wasn't in. I never
heard one word from him and to my knowledge neither did any one in our
Task Force.
I plan on being at the rally in October because the truth must be
told about this Traitor...

Iraq War veterans Mark Russak's attempts to be heard by Murtha were
rejected. Iraq War veterans Craig Minnick's efforts to be heard by
Murtha were rejected.
When Murtha says he speaks for America's soldiers, he is lying.
John Murtha doesn't listen to our soldiers. He listens to
anti-military, pro-abortion 'San Francisco' politician Nancy Pelosi,
not our soldiers. He says, "I'll go wherever Nancy sends me."
John Murtha doesn't listen to our soldiers. He listens to anti-war
group Code Pink and accepts their awards – Code Pink members harass
wounded U.S. soldiers at Bethesda Army Hospital in Washington, DC and
send money to the Iraq insurgency.
John Murtha does not listen to our soldiers, yet he claims to speak
for them. John Murtha is a fraud.
Boot Murtha's Rally this Oct. 1st is in Murtha's hometown. It gives
America's Iraq War veterans the opportunity Murtha denies them... an
opportunity to be heard. We hope Murtha's home that Sunday when these
fine soldiers join with one voice and say, "Murtha, can you hear me
NOW?!"

Mr. Murtha,
I am an Infantry soldier with "Task Force
Panther" from Pennsylvania. We are currently deployed in the Anbar
Province of Iraq. I have also been a registered democrat for 25 years.
Over the years I've watched and warned that our party was falling into
an abyss of absolutely reprehensible behavior. Was the Democratic
Party so afraid of a victory in Iraq that 3 weeks before [Iraq's]
national election it would coerce its last respected member in
Congress to abandon U.S. soldiers while still in the field? How dare
you, Mr. Murtha, a Vietnam veteran, sell out soldiers in combat right
before the end of a successful mission! Your behavior is inexcusable;
you should be ashamed. I am sure the terrorist insurgency is grateful
to you for announcing our defeat days before yet another victory in
this country. You owe every American soldier a formal apology! You
could have been remembered as distinguished member of Congress, but
now you'll only be remembered as a foolish old man who sold out his
country to a den of vipers in the Democratic Party. Thank you for
proving once and for all that the Democratic Party is the party of the
sore loser, the selfish whiner and the gutless coward. So what was the
price to betray us - Judas?
