NY Times editorial points to corrupt
Murtha
“Dealing With Congressman Inc.”
Dec.
30, 2006… It is fast becoming a fact that anyone caught in a
political dalliance with Rep. Jack Murtha should be labeled a
suspicious character. The fact that Murtha is a lower character than
even former Congressman Tom Delay is becoming a published fact. The
real question that remains is, when is the FBI going to indict Murtha?

wise to look to one of their own — Representative John Murtha of
Pennsylvania — for ironic inspiration in enacting the ethics reforms

legend at mastering the same quid pro quo culture that Democrats
denounced in running against the Republicans’ manipulations of
Washington’s money trough. His deliverance of masses of pork to
favored campaign donors and lobbyists has been laid bare in a report
by The Washington Post, detailing the sort of classic money churn that
helped drive the Republicans from power.
