PA 'County Press' editor slams Murtha
July 5, 2006 / Newtown Square, PA
...Executive Editor William W. Lawrence, of the
County Press, pens this Murtha slam:
Hanoi Jane Fonda's disgraceful 1972 jaunt to North Vietnam has once
again come back to hassle her.
Peach State legislators squashed a resolution 38-1 that would have
honored the aging and ailing sex kitten. But her Vietnam War protests,
including a trip to North Vietnam in 1972, have left a bad taste in
the mouths of veterans.
"I can think of no living American who is less worthy of this honor,"
Republican Sen. John Douglas declared. "She is as guilty of treason as
Benedict Arnold and Tokyo Rose."
Are you paying attention, Jack Murtha?

Shall we reward Jihad-Jack Murtha?
by John Salsgiver
Webster's online dictionary defines sedition as: "incitement of
resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority". Rep. Jack
Murtha (D-12) has done much to incite resistance and overt
insurrection of Islamic whackos against the new and legally
established government of Iraq. In the process, Murtha is getting our
military personnel injured and killed.
Jim Quinn, of the WAR ROOM [1]
at 104.7 FM (Pittsburgh Pa.), asked the following question a week or
so ago concerning what are indeed acts of sedition committed by
Murtha; forgive me as I paraphrase the question since I don't have
the exact quote written down.
If Jack Murtha's activities are not indeed intended to cause our
military to fail and for the terrorist to win, what then would he have
to do different if he did want to produce such an outcome?
Quinn's answer for all intents and purposes is
'nothing'. Jihad-Jack Murtha is emboldening our enemies- those Wahhabist
loons who behead civilians, murder in cold blood then mutilate
our military heroes [2]
and work to stop an otherwise inevitable U.S. military victory in
general.
Murtha also betrayed seven of his fellow Marines and one Navy corpsman
in the Haditha case, which incidentally is being gutted by defense
attorneys [3].
There was unreported observations, in the
U.S. media anyway, by two ministers who were ministering to those
very Marines whom Murtha betrayed and were reporting on the war for
a Christian radio station, in January. [4]
' [Rev. Ben Mathes stated] he also did not feel animosity from Iraqis
he encountered while on patrol with Kilo company in Haditha."You would
think that if something horrible had happened they would just
disappear or just have nothing to do with these folks,"
............"They [the Iraqi citizens] came out on the streets and
brought us bread and tea and invited us into their homes. The
businessmen would have them come into their shops." ...... "We have
leaders [i.e. Murtha] who are hired by our country to lead us, who
sent my kid to war and then they are back here bad-mouthing him and
saying things they have no idea if it's true or not to get a little
(TV) face time," '
' [Rev.] Christopher Price, a Georgia-based Presbyterian minister who
traveled with Mathes to Iraq, also reported he saw no signs of bad
feelings between Iraqis and Kilo company. '
Anyway, there are some patriotic Americans out there trying to educate
your fellow Americans. Since the media is not going to do their job
at reporting the facts, someone has to, thus, let me introduce you
website created by
Larry Bailey, a retired U.S. Navy Seal Officer;
When Murtha is criticized about his seditious acts he hides behind
his military service history and savages your fellow Americans, who,
while they may not have served, are none-the-less truly patriotic. As
such, Murtha can't bully Bailey, a fellow veteran!
Let's briefly compared the actions of Congressman Murtha to a
confirmed American war hero who would later turn on his newly
founded Country and his fellow soldiers. You, the reader, can draw
your own conclusions.
Working for the American cause, the fellow along with Ethan Allen led
a brigade that captured Fort Ticonderoga on Lake Champlain in May
1775. In September of 1775, he led his troops against the British
into their Canadian capital in Montreal where he took a musket ball
through the leg. He was wounded in the leg again in at the battle of
Saratoga in the fall of 1777 as he led American troops in
battle against the British.
In 1780, the errant fellow turned on his American brothers. For a sum
of 2O,OOO sterling (about $1 million today) he promised to deliver
West Point to the British. On September 21, 1780 the traitor met
his British handler, Major John Andre, just south of West Point and
provided him with many documents regarding West Point
and the troops. Andre, donning the uniform of an American soldier set
off with the procured American documents, but was would caught by
American soldiers before he could deliver them to the British command.
Andre was later hung as a spy. The traitor was then promoted to
the rank of brigadier general in the British Army. The traitor
was Benedict Arnold.
Questions that voters must consider upon being informed:
-
Just what does Murtha hope to gain, or more precisely,
what political or personal rewards have been promised to him in
exchange for his cooperation in aiding the enemy?
-
Will
the voters and local politicians -- of both parties -- willingly,
though figuratively, wade through the blood of our fallen
Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines just to glean the crumbs
of pork scattered by Murtha?
-
Will voters surrender
to the jihadist murderers, the sons, daughters, fathers, mothers,
spouses and friends fighting to keep America safe, just for pork?
Knowing the politics in Armstrong County, I must sadly report that
Murtha will likely be rewarded. I received an email from a very
active Republican acquaintance that caused me concern:
"Congressman Phil English and Senator Santorum are both helping.
I don't think [Diana Irey (R)] will get much support, if any, from
the local office holders."
That confirms other reports I received of unprecedented, post 9-11
allegiances to Murtha by the Republican office holders at county
and state levels; their inability to effectively govern makes them
dependant on Murtha's pork. One can conclude then that it's
their attitude that those serving over in Iraq are for the most part
expendable, including their constituents.

Murtha for President?
July 10, 2006... A letter published in today's
Observer-Reporter (out of Washington, PA) advocates drafting Rep.
John Murtha for President. That's the opine of Paul Lagojda of
Cumberland Township, PA... Murtha for President.
[EXCERPTS:]
Shut him up? No, draft him for president
The
June 11 letter, "Join the campaign to shut up John Murtha," is a
prime example of rabid conservative correctness.
On one hand, the letter honors the sterling credentials held by Murtha
who served as a Marine colonel and now serves as our U.S.
representative to Congress. On the other hand the letter blindsides
Murtha for his loyal opposition to our nation's flawed current war
policy.
Based on great knowledge and long experience, Murtha strongly
advocates what he judges to be the most efficient and effective
strategy for bringing about the most swift defeat of belligerents in a
controversial war...
...God bless America. God save John Murtha. Draft John Murtha for
president of the United States of America.
Paul Lagojda, Cumberland Township, PA
